California TEC Bishops release statement supporting initiative to abolish the death penalty

I have to ask about their true “pro-life” positions. Where do they stand on abortion? When does life begin? I say at conception. That fertilized egg as it is does not “hatch” as some lower animals do. It grows. It is fully human at conception, it can not become a puppy or a polar bear, so it is a human being. Since 1973 over 56 million of these small human beings have been murdered by abortion. During what has been considered one of the darker periods of human history, the Holocost, 11.6 million people were killed by the Nazi Germans. That included Russian POW’s, Poles, Gypsies, and the Jews. When the mothers of a society are allowed to murder at will their offspring, that society is in deep trouble. I call on all Episcopal Bishops, Priests, Deacons and Laity to condemn abortion and euthnasia and support a “Life at Conception Act” to state in law what the Supreme Court stated was the question, when does life begin? This includes presidents of seminaries that stand up and shout that “abortion is a blessing and we need more of it”. How anyone can claim to be a Christain leader and call for the murder of innocent children I do not know. It seems that what are identified as Progressives are the ones who have pushed for more access to abortion, I have to ask, What are they “pregressing’ towards?
I agree with the six bishops, and I support their stance, but I take issue with their Church’s stand on abortion. Every human being……whether they are unborn children or a functioning person……has the right to life, and no one has the right to take his or her life. That’s God’s right. The unborn child’s existence may be the result of rape, but that doesn’t mean that his or her life should be terminated because of the mother’s perceived inability to care for or support that child; that’s what adoptions are for. Those children have the right to live.

They are right on this one subject. Which only confirms the old adage that even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Looking on the bright side: Bp. Andrus might end up at an anti-death penalty really with Abp. Cordileone.
